Shape the delivery around the audience
A professional learning a process may need a different pace and emphasis from a non-specialist hearing an explanation for the first time. Tell me who will listen, what the recording needs to communicate and how it will be used.
Suitable briefs can include medical eLearning, pharmaceutical training and technical healthcare explanations. Each project is reviewed against its script, preparation and production requirements.
Listen to the reel for pronunciation, pacing and emphasis. For your own material, a complimentary audition of up to 30 seconds can help you judge the voice and direction before booking.
Confirm the detail before recording
Approved script and terminology
Provide the approved script and pronunciation references for product names, abbreviations and specialist terms. Your subject-matter team confirms the intended reading where alternatives exist.
Performance and direction
We agree the tone, emphasis and pace around the listener. Remote direction can be discussed where useful. Your team retains approval of the technical content; my role is the narration.
Files and revisions
Formats, file splits, naming, timing and revision arrangements are agreed before recording. Include these requirements in the brief so the quote reflects the production.
Future modules and updates
If the work is likely to continue, share the expected volume, release pattern and approval process. We can discuss consistency across future recordings once the initial scope is clear.
Send an excerpt or a production brief
For a tailored quote, include your audience, intended use, approximate script length, delivery date and any file-splitting or timing requirements. Extensive terminology preparation, public usage and complex delivery need to be considered in the scope.
For an audition, send a short excerpt and describe the delivery you have in mind. If confidentiality needs to be agreed before you share a script, mention that first.
