About Richard Foster

I’m a British voice actor based in France, recording for clients in the UK and abroad. My work spans corporate and eLearning narration, documentary and audiobooks, and commercial and character voice. My clients have included Pfizer, Deutsche Bank, Hewlett Packard, the Houses of Parliament and Decathlon.

Most of what I record is training and corporate material, where clarity and authority matter as much as tone. The same voice carries history and documentary series, long-form audiobooks, humanitarian storytelling, retail and luxury brand work, and character roles. The approach is the same each time: understand who is listening, then serve the script.

My background is in communication rather than performance: years of IT, teaching English and training adults in public speaking. That is where my habit of making complicated material easy to follow comes from.

When a production needs more than one voice, I work with a small group of trusted professional voice actors, so a full cast can be directed, recorded and delivered together.

I work from a professional home studio and aim to make the process straightforward. Briefs are discussed, audio is delivered cleanly, and revisions are handled without friction.
